Rick Simpson (born October 20, 1958) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He was selected by the St. Louis Blues in the 9th round (143rd overall) of the 1978 NHL Entry Draft.

Simpson played major junior hockey with the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Canada Hockey League, before playing professionally with the 1978–79 Port Huron Flags of the International Hockey League.

He played the 1986–87 season with the Cleveland Bombers of the British Hockey League, scoring 61 goals and 46 assists for 107 points in 34 games played. [1]
